Leo Freund, Germany
Leo Freund is the Deputy Headmaster of Erich Kästner School in Alsfeld, Hessen, Germany.
Leo is a devoted special education teacher, who ardently embraces the mantra “the world is our classroom.” His driving force lies in progress, student involvement and the belief that intercultural learning and inclusive education should be the norm in today’s educational landscape.
In the inspiring words of Steve Jobs, “the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”, Leo firmly believes that a touch of madness is
essential for driving meaningful change. In his teaching philosophy, Leo sees
innovation and education as inseparable.

Peter Mandak, Switzerland
Peter Mandak works as a teacher at the secondary school in Sissach and at the cantonal ICT coordination centre. He is convinced that the majority of future learning will take place in networks. As a logical consequence of this, he has already entered the first collaborations in the past. He himself is active in various networks and is constantly learning more about them. He is now contributing this experience to our young project team.
